Check Network Settings

If your Geeni camera won’t connect to Wi-Fi, the first thing you should do is check your network settings. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working properly. Check if other devices, such as your smartphone or laptop, can connect to the network. If they can’t, you may need to reset your router or contact your internet service provider.
  • Check if your Geeni camera is within range of your Wi-Fi network. If it’s too far away, the signal may not be strong enough for the camera to connect. Try moving the camera closer to the router and see if that helps.
  • Make sure you’re using the correct Wi-Fi network name and password. Double-check the information you entered during the setup process to ensure there are no typos or errors.
  • If your Wi-Fi network has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, make sure you’re connecting to the 2.4GHz band. Geeni cameras only work with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.
  • If you’ve recently changed your Wi-Fi network name or password, you’ll need to update the settings on your Geeni camera as well.

By checking your network settings, you can often identify and resolve issues that may be preventing your Geeni camera from connecting to Wi-Fi.

Move Camera Closer

If your Geeni camera is not connecting to your Wi-Fi network, one possible solution is to move the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router or access point. This can help improve the strength of the Wi-Fi signal and make it easier for the camera to connect.

Here are a few steps you can take to move your camera closer:

  1. Check the location of your Wi-Fi router or access point. If it is far away from your camera, try moving it closer or consider using a Wi-Fi extender or booster to improve the signal strength.

  3. If your camera is on a stand or tripod, try moving it closer to your Wi-Fi router or access point. You may need to use a longer power cable or extension cord to reach the new location.
  • Once you have moved your camera closer, try connecting it to your Wi-Fi network again.

Remember to test the connection and make sure that the camera is working properly before moving it back to its original location.
